Up at 3am
Currently my regimen is the following:
- Morning 5-7 a.m. ~ Use counting method (1. I'm dreaming, 2. I'm dreaming, ...) Which uses the early hypnogogic state to reaffirm in the subconscious the intent to be aware of one's dreams and also creates a habit of 'reality checking' - an important tool to realize one is dreaming.
- Daytime 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. ~ worktime, reality checks, breathing practices, & "resonant tuning". Throughout the day doing short reality checks, kind of like pinching one's self to see if your dreaming, is used to create the habit within the subconscious. Resonant tuning is a type of breath/energy practice that is taught in the Gateway program from the Monroe Institute.
- 7 p.m. - night ~ Hemi Sync tapes. A self guided audio system developed by the Monroe Institute for the purpose of consciousness expansion.
I've considered about the Names of Allah and which ones correspond to musical pitches. Concerning the pitch Do, Ancient Greek mese, or Indian Kshobhini (Sa), in Modal music this is the note used typically for drones and more importantly is considered home, usually where a piece of music or melody ends, the listener feels at rest.
In Indian musical parlance Kshobhini is associated with the jata Madhya, "comic, love". (Alain Danielou, Music & The Power of Sound.)
My association is As Sallam (Source of Peace), Al Wadud (The Loving One) , Al Ahad (Unity), Al Wahid (The One) & An Nur (The Light). Basically the Names which have a certain "staticness" or stationary emanation sense to them. Do is the easy one to attribute ideas to, getting to the other steps on a scale are a whole other matter...
good night!
